Basic Movement
The “UP”, “DOWN”,”LEFT”, and “RIGHT” arrow key on the keyboard or directional pad on a mobile device are the only keys utilized while on the map portions of the game. When wanting to enter or exit a map screen, walk your character to either an end of the map that is clear of obstacles or into a creature to begin combat.
Since this game is still in it’s developmental stages, only one area on each map allows the character to enter onto the other map. On the town map, the bottom right corner of the map takes the character to the battle map and on the battle map the upper right portion returns the character to town.
In the future, I will allow for additional functionality on the map such as a search/talk button and maybe an inventory button.
